Endurance Training
Fun With Fitness likes to provide
training for particular events.
This group is very popular because people find that having an event to
train for really helps keep them focused and committed to training and
fitness.
In 2010 Fun With Fitness took part in the Ingleborough
challenge. This was a 25 mile hike up the Ingleborough
Mountain in the Yorkshire Dales. It was a lovely rewarding challenge
that took in some of the most beautiful scenery in Britain. We trained
well and completed the challenge with ease!
We also did some half marathon training and took part in a couple of
half marathon events.
At the start of 2011 we have just started some more half marathon
training which is proving very popular and are planning to take on the
Ingleborough massive again this year.

We are planning to take part in the Colchester
half marathon in March this year and the St. Helena Hospice
coast to coast in April.
We are always open to further challenges and events and members of the
events group tend to suggest events they fancy and we then take it on
as a group.

Although Belinda does personal training for full marathons she has yet
to train the events team for one of these but no doubt she will work on
them to train for one in the future.
The events group meets on Friday evenings and some weekends depending
