HIT Training

HIT Training in Colchester

Fun With Fitness HIT (High Intensity Training) training focuses on performing certain exercises to the point of momentary muscular failure/exhaustion. HIT training takes into account the number of repetitions, the amount of weight, and the amount of time the muscle is exposed to tension in order to push the body that little bit further than it would normally go in a regular exercise class/session.

A traditional/other exercise programs may include elements of aerobic (cardio) and anaerobic training. Aerobic exercise is what you do when you are jogging or walking, cycling or swimming at a low to moderate pace up to a point at which you can still carry on a conversation, even if you are breathing a little heavily. It is the type of exercise that you can keep going for a relatively long period of time. Your body is then able to supply the muscles with all the oxygen that they need whilst exercising.

HIT training uses anaerobic exercise. Anaerobic exercise is at an intensity at which your muscles’ requirements for oxygen exceed the amount your body can supply. At this exercise intensity, you will not be able to function for long because the muscles will fail or you will not be gasping for breath. This then is high-intensity Training– we call HIT training.

HIT training is a high fat burning session because of the high anaerobic content. It is also very good exercise for your heart muscle with the constant speeding up and slowing down of your heart rate.

High Intensity Training gives Measurable Results

As with all Fun With Fitness sessions, the exercises are carried out safely and monitored to make sure you are performing them precisely. You will have a record sheet so that you can track your fitness progress. Our HIT training also sometimes includes a modified bleep test.

It is fun, exhilarating and tiring. You will become addicted to its feel good factor.
