Reflexology Therapy in Colchester

We are really pleased to be able to offer our clients reflexology.

Reflexology offered in Colchester

Reflexology, like acupuncture, has been used in China for around 5,000 years. It is classed as a form of ‘holistic healing’ – For the mind, body and spirit.

It has come a long way since its early roots in ancient civilizations. Today reflexology is a very popular complementary therapy, due to its wonderful relaxing attributes.

It is based on the principle that there are points on the feet and hands called reflexes which are believed to correspond to all the glands, organs, systems and structures within the entire body.

By using special finger and thumb pressure techniques to these points on the feet or hands, this gentle therapy treats the whole body with the aim of balancing and harmonizing the body’s natural equilibrium to restore and repair.

Your foot contains 26 small bones, a network of ligaments, muscles, tendons and over 7,000 nerve endings. They support you wherever you go!

Feet are commonly overlooked in modern living. Reflexology is a wonderful opportunity to give your feet a treat, release tension and enhance better health.

Come and find out for yourself!

The Reflexology Treatment Session

You will be invited to lie back comfortably on a chair with your legs supported on a special stool.  You can choose to relax, dose or chat during your treatment.

The effects of Reflexology are unique to each person.  Most people experience a sense of well-being and relaxation, others find it uplifting and energizing.

Reflexology in itself cannot be used for diagnosis of a medical condition, but can be a link in the chain to help you find and treat the dis-ease or imbalance within your body as a complimentary therapy
